Add value with easy and affordable bathroom renovations

Hi Everyone and welcome to this week’s Blog,

Are you in the mood for renovations? We all know that bathrooms sell houses, but a fabulous, modern and spa-like bathroom doesn’t have to cost too much money and can seriously improve your lifestyle. Who doesn’t want a wonderful bathroom where they can relax, rejuvenate and enjoy spending time?

Obviously complete bathroom renovations can be expensive, but if the bones are already there, then you can save money by improving just one or two items in your bathroom. So let’s take a look at some easy bathroom renovations you can do in a few days or a long weekend.

Glass shower screens: These won’t set you back a lot of money, but will have a big impact on the look and feel of your bathroom. A frameless glass shower screen is ultra-modern and helps all of the natural light to bounce around the bathroom and it is one of the simplest bathroom renovations you can do.

Replace the vanity: Wall hung vanities are all the trend right now, so if you have an old vanity that looks tired and out-dated, replacing it will make all the difference to your bathroom. Look for a raw timber vanity with a white square or oblong basin and you will be the envy of everyone!

Add a new mirror: Depending on your style, you can go for an ornate oval mirror that looks rather decadent or for a more modern square mirror with a timber frame. Adding more than one mirror, each on a different wall, will also help to bounce natural light around the bathroom, making it look brighter and bigger all in one.

Update the tapware: New tapware can also make a huge difference to your bathroom and a square or rectangular new sink can be easily complemented by a new square, angled set of taps. Don’t forget to include replacing the taps and shower head in your bathroom renovations as well, and keeping the tapware to chrome will add glam and sparkle to your bathroom.

Paint: If you don’t have floor to ceiling tiles, then a fresh coat of paint on the walls in a light or neutral colour will add both light and the impression of space to your bathroom. Avoid feature walls in your bathroom and instead add colour and interest with your accessories – keep your wall colours soft and neutral.
